Sustainable development aims to meet human needs in the present while preserving the environment so that these needs can also be met in the indefinite future. We all have an impact on the environment, economy and people of Australia. Through systems, thinking and behaviour change, our environment can be sustained for the communities of the future. It is imperative that our kindergarten and our community play a role now to invest in that future.
‘Everybody has a right to a world where everyone has the opportunity to benefit from a quality education and learn the values, behaviour and lifestyles required for a sustainable future and for positive societal transformation.’ (united nations decade of sustainability 2005- 2014)
